Youth Climate Clubs Driving Awareness

Youth Climate Clubs Driving Awareness

Schools across our network have continued to strengthen their environmental and climate clubs, giving students a structured way to learn, lead, and take action on climate issues. The clubs bring together young people who share an interest in protecting their surroundings and understanding how climate change affects their daily lives.

Recent activities have included campus clean-ups, tree planting, recycling drives, and discussion sessions on climate challenges faced in Liberia. Teachers and volunteer mentors guide the students, but much of the planning and energy comes directly from the young leaders themselves.

The clubs are helping students build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility toward their communities. Many participants have begun proposing simple solutions for their schools, such as improved waste sorting and small garden projects. Others have expressed interest in pursuing environmental studies after graduation.

These school clubs are an important part of our broader mission to prepare the next generation for climate leadership. As more schools join the initiative, we look forward to seeing a growing movement of informed and active young people working toward a cleaner and safer environment.
